Ad Hoc's voting members are representatives from the following statewide organizations:
Illinois Homeschooling Association (ILHSA), formerly Illinois H.O.U.S.E, is an inclusive group for all Illinois homeschoolers regardless of their religious or ethnic background or homeschooling philosophy.
ICHE (Illinois Christian Home Educators), a not-for-profit Christian organization composed of families dedicated to the success of home education in Illinois. The mission of ICHE is to encourage and equip parents to glorify Jesus Christ by discipling their children through home education.
RCHEN (Roman Catholic Home Educator Network) was created as a way to quickly and easily communicate with other Catholic homeschoolers, especially as related to homeschool legislation in Illinois.
Though these groups are very diverse both in their member base and individual goals, all are united by the importance each places in maintaining homeschool freedoms in Illinois.
Ad Hoc offers a non-voting membership to local homeschool support groups (including but not limited to Facebook groups, co-ops, and micro schools) in an effort to connect and unite all homeschoolers in the state with the common goal of maintaining our homeschool freedoms.
Though Ad Hoc's members are volunteers, it is not without expenses. Ad Hoc has to pay dues to ICNS and to the two lobbyists who help us fight our battles. The dues paid to Ad Hoc by its member organizations go to cover these expenses.
